Daredevilla are on their way to India. The second edition of Indian Grand Prix will be flagged off on 28 October at Bhuddha International Circuit in Greater Noida. Fans get ready for the blood cirding event.
Formula One or F1
The car race is being organised under the banner of Paris based Federation Internationale de I' Automobile (FIA). Titled Grand Prix, which stands for Grand Prize in French, the race will be conducted as series in each season. What with its numerous regulations, it is called Formula One.
The races always fall on friday, saturday & sunday. The furat two days are for training, qualifying round, pole position, and Sunday will be the day. The mode of contest is based on 'knockout qualifying system'. According to this, for a 24 car grid, all 24 cars participate in the first period. At its end, slowest cars are elimunated, and this leads to the last seven grid positions (18 to 24). As for the second period, the remainig seven cars can fight, with seven more cars eliminated at the end, taking the next seven lowest grid positions (11 to 17). In the third and final leg, the remaining 10 cars come for pole positon and fill the grid positions 1 through 10.
The time alloted for racing is two hours to cover 300km average. This might change according to the measures of the circuit. The driver who flies past the target distance will walk out with trophy.
Indian Grand Prix
The first Indian Grand Prix was staged on 30 October last year. It was the 17th race of the Formula One season in 2011. Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing Renault finished at 1:24.178 becoming the champion. Jenson Button of Mc Laren Mercedes was placed second, and Fernando Alonso of Ferrari came for tge third place. The Grand Prix will be held on 28 October after the preliminary round on 26 and 27 October.

Vijay Mallya's Force India team and HRT Cosworth's driver and Tamil Nadu native Narain Karthikeyan represented India in Formula One. Force India's operations are based in London, while HRT Cosworth is from Spain.
